The objective of the Engineering Chemistry is to acquaint the students with the basic phenomenon/concepts of chemistry, the student face during course of their study in the industry& Engineering field.
The experiments to be performed in the Engineering Chemistry Laboratory as per the curriculum are very useful to the students of B.Tech of different disciplines. The various experiments included in the syllabus are the basics of Engineering Chemistry that are useful for different industries. To mention, Complex metric titrations to find Hardness of water, understand the various properties of lubricants to accomplish the requirement of desired lubricant under working, analyze water sample by knowing the solid contents by means of conductivity meter and elaborate the determination of calorific value of fuel. In all the above experiments, the students would learn about handling of the equipment and conceptualization of certain fundamental aspects of Chemistry
The Physics Department at NIET is rich in experience and committed to the overall quality improvement of students. The department has two well-equipped and spacious laboratories for conducting experiments at Diploma and B.Tech. level. The engineering physics laboratories are mainly divided into two areas.
One is the dark room for experiments in optics and the second is the general laboratory for electronic and electrical basic physics experiments. There are more than twenty experiments available in the lab with multiple instruments so that each student can have an individual experimental setup. The lab is very spacious and designed to allow more than thirty students to conduct their experiments at the same time. The experiments are designed so that students can understand the concept and how the experiments work.
